Healing Into Life

3 weeks ago today I had brain surgery and 2 days after that I was miraculously discharged home from the hospital. Last week 29 stitches were removed from my scalp and I got cleared to move my body.

I haven’t taken one pain pill since I left the hospital and I’m finally off the steroids. Soon I’ll lose the fluid puffiness from the meds. I am grateful for all the fine work my neurosurgeon and the medications have given me. I have full range of motion in my head, neck and shoulders.

Portions of my scalp are still waking up every day. I’m energetically working with my meridians and acupuncture points restoring balance to the whole.

The tumor was golf ball size and benign. It was imbedded into a vein which had to be mended. Thankfully my beautiful brain grew peripheral veins around the tumor which I will continue to work with. The body has the most amazing ability to heal and miracles happen.

The first couple of weeks home were a little trippy. I woke up at 4am sharp every morning with the most amazing energetic fluorescent color and light visuals. My scar was was like a receiving station tuned into the Divine. Every morning a profound energetic message came and downloaded into my being. At some point I may write more about this, for now there are no words, only being.

I’m working on getting stronger, still unable to lift weights and I can’t swim for 3 months. 4 months is the average recovery time, I’m allowing all of it. I am doing gentle yoga stretches and about 15 minutes on the treadmill daily. I practice a little tai chi and visualize doing some Kung fu moves in order to co-ordinate and balance both sides of my brain. I’m not quite ready for driving or dancing yet, but soon!

I can get a little overloaded yet I know how to deeply listen to my body and not push it. I’ve always been very good at chilling, it’s my superpower.

My hands are finally steady and thankfully my creativity is off the charts. I am working on creating a new style of energy portrait from this new place of serving, seeing and being. These will be facial portraits expressed abstractly with the energy of the Divine that I see in each and every one of us. This is my service, to create from the energy of the Divine.

One of the most interesting things along this journey is how people are reacting to my quick hospital release 2 days after brain surgery. Some see it as inspiration, others want to know what I did so they can apply it to their own healing pathway.
